"Throughout the years, many people have contributed to finding commonalities in efficient water policies; many whom I have met personally at conferences in the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, and across Australia.
From researchers with decades of experience to a diplomat at the end of his career.
All play an equally important role in shaping robust and resilient reforms, with setbacks and incremental progress, and, sometimes, leap frogging when situations present. I too, would have chosen to contributing to developing reforms that improves stability under productivity and the environment.
What drives me is the incremental gains I have seen in technology, and the enthusiasm and dedication I have met. I became curious to find the root cause of why water policies are so difficult to implement in practice.
I turned my focus to computers.
Water is inherently a difficult thing for humans to comprehend. Myself included. Evapotranspiration makes accurate water accounting nearly impossible to measure. At the same time, I have seen an unprecedented demand for both water policies and the ability to measure from farm fields, industry, to river basin scale operations, and I have met likeminded individuals, who are also taking computers to make incremental improvements.
To this day, I rely on my intuition to shape new connections in the water and agricultural sector, and the journey that comes with it. And, I am always keen for a chat to find likeminded."
